Yesterday I made a phone call to the  organization where I used to work ten years ago to ask them if they could send my work experience letter to the Professional Certification center. The response of the Director was short. He said "sorry there is No Internet since last five weeks". Can you imagine just a day without the Internet?  What would you do if you are in such situation? If you think the internet is not a luxury in some part of the world, you are mistaken. A lot of people in developing countries still need internet access. In this blog I would like to briefly explain about the Internet, how it function and its role in improving classroom instruction. 

The history of the internet has its origin in the efforts to build an interconnected group of computers that use a set of common communication protocols to sense and communicate to each other. The internet is a vast network that connect commuters all over the world. Three decades ago the birth of the Internet was considered as a surprise. David Bowie  in his interview with BBC described the emergence of Internet as an " aline life form... just landed here" Since then the internet has revolutionized communication to the extent that it is now our preferred medium of everyday communication. In almost everything we do , we use the Internet. M.McLuhan describe the influence of the internet by saying "we shape our tools and thereafter our tools shape us". The internet is an open, decentralized and totally neutral. No single organization controls it. 

 What is the Internet of Things?

The Internet of things(IOT) is the system of interrelated computing devices, mechanicals, and digital machines, object, animals or people that are provided with uniques identifiers and the ability to transfer data over a network without requiring human to human or human to computer interaction. The internet of things help people live and work easier and faster. Now a days it gain complete control over our lives. 

The Internet of Things In Education system 

Technology in education has played a significant role in connecting and education the students. The Internet of things has an important impact on teaching learning process. It has also brought a significant change in in the infrastructure of of educational institutions.  From student to teacher , classroom to school, everything can get benefited with IoT based technology in education society. IoT can help us make education more accessible in terms of geography, status, and ability.  There are boundless opportunity to integrate IoT solutions in to our classroom environment. IoT can support classroom instruction by improving learning setting, enhancing learning resources, improve method of teaching and raise management efficiency.
